This Policy explains how Help Me Read Ancient Greek handles information used to provide the service.

Information we collect

We process account and authentication information; diagnostic answers; reading track, difficulty, schedule, and study-aid preferences; subscription status and Stripe customer identifiers; delivered stories and private PDFs; word taps, story opens, streaks, feedback, and error reports; consent records; and technical security or error logs. We do not store full payment-card details.

How we use it

We use this information to authenticate you, personalize and deliver stories, generate PDFs, maintain your archive, adapt difficulty, provide billing and account controls, correct reported errors, prevent abuse, troubleshoot failures, meet legal obligations, and understand the diagnostic-to-subscription funnel.

AI processing

Generation requests include the reading profile, selected preferences, confidence estimates, and story continuity needed to produce an episode. They use a pseudonymous safety identifier rather than your email or raw account ID. Generated material may still contain mistakes.

Service providers

We use Supabase for authentication, database, and private storage; Vercel for hosting; OpenAI for generation and review; Stripe for billing and tax calculation; Resend for operational email; Inngest for durable workflows; Sentry for error monitoring; and PostHog for masked product analytics. Each provider processes only the information needed for its function under its own contractual and security terms.

Analytics and email

Product analytics mask page text and element attributes; story text, email addresses, and personal fields are not intentionally sent. Session recording is disabled. Operational story and account emails are necessary for the service. Optional marketing consent is recorded separately and may be withdrawn without stopping story delivery.

Sharing

We do not sell personal information. We disclose it to the processors above, when you direct us, to protect the service or users, or when law requires. Email open data can be inaccurate because mail clients may preload images.

Retention and deletion

We retain account data while your account exists and preserve a read-only archive after subscription expiration. Account deletion cancels access and removes application records and private story files promptly. Security logs may persist for a limited operational period, and Stripe or other providers may retain legally required transaction records.

Security and international processing

We use access controls, row-level database policies, signed webhooks, private storage, encryption provided by our vendors, and restricted service credentials. No system is perfectly secure. Service providers may process data in countries other than yours using their lawful transfer mechanisms.

Your choices and rights

You can update reading settings, pause delivery, manage billing, withdraw marketing consent, and delete your account. Depending on where you live, you may also request access, correction, export, restriction, objection, or deletion. We will verify requests before acting.

Children

The service is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 13 or the minimum digital-consent age where they live.
